Church Away Day

Following Gavin stepping down from his role as leader of City Life Church, we are now in the position of seeking, together and with God, someone to take on the leadership of the church.

To create space for us to consider this together, there will be a day of consultation on Sunday 4th July at Kingsfield Centre in Baldock. The day will run from 9.30am to 5pm, followed by food together back in Luton at 7.30pm.

This time will be an opportunity for us to talk and pray, reflecting on the last few years and looking ahead to the future. We will specifically be talking about the core attributes and characteristics we are looking for in someone to take on the leadership of the church. It will be a very significant time together, and will form a key part of this leadership transition process.

We will also use part of the day to acknowledge Gavin's contribution to us as a community, and to pray for him as he enters Parliament.

Prior to the day of consultation, we will be continue to talk and pray as a community. The strength of this process rests on the contributions that we all make; I would encourage you to take some time over the next few weeks to think, pray and discuss. I would also like to invite you to email your thoughts to the leadership team of the church prior to this time away, (via rich@loveluton.org) to help them as they facilitate our time away together.
