Our vision and story
Our vision is to reach and build church with 18-30 year olds in Luton.
- to see God’s love impact people’s lives - to see people come to faith in Jesus - to release the potential of individuals - to love the town of Luton
Our values about church
Jesus is the reason that we meet as church. His life, death and resurrection are at the centre of our faith.
We have have a high opinion of church. It is core to expressing our Christian faith.
Church is not an end in itself. We are serving God and his good plans for the world.
In our church, everyone gets to play. We don’t promote one person or cause, it’s a team effort.
The quality of our relationships is a measure of our success. We seek to cultivate friendships which reflect God’s love, that are welcoming to all.
We believe that God changes us and brings freedom as we follow Jesus. Our relationships catalyse this change.
Living our Values
At this time, we outwork our vision in a number of ways. An outward sign of commitment to the values and vision of this community is found in meeting together.
We meet together: - weekly, in small groups known as cells - each weekend, in meetings of the whole church
Each small group has a cell leader. Their role is to look after the cell and encourage the vision of reaching out to others with the message of Jesus. For more information on our cells, click here.
In our weekend gatherings we seek to authentically express our faith. In these times together we try to create spaces where God is further revealed to us, which are creative, and open to all. Currently we run a rolling programme of four meetings in a month: City Life Church, The Call, Unexpected, and LoveLuton Gatherings. For more information on our weekly gatherings, click here.
In addition, committed members of the church give, serve and pray for the community.
