The Call
2000 years ago Jesus called people to follow him. The Call is our gathering that explores what it means to follow Jesus today. It's a space to share stories, learn from each other and be challenged.
We aim to do four things in a Call meeting.
- Teach something from the Bible about what it means to be a disciple, a follower, of Jesus
- Provoke curiosity, questions and reflection about the Christian life
- Encourage each other to follow Christ, and
- Land our ideals and thoughts in the reality of our everyday lives.
Over 2011/12 we are exploring the idea of being called and being sent, as a whole church. In this gathering we'll explore the call to follow, the call to journey, the call to one another, the call to take up our cross, the call to be set apart, the call to remember and the call to be a blessing
