Rosie and Dan's Cell
Dan and Rosie's cell always start with eating dinner together. We then engage in one of three activities on a cyclical basis.
Sharing Cell - where we openly and confidentially share our personal experiences on a given spiritual topic, using a format based on a 12 step meeting.
Discussion Cell - where we discuss and debate a piece of theological writing, usually facilitated by Neil.
Prayer Cell - where we engage in different forms of prayer, often addressing issues that have come up during Sharing Cell or Discussion Cell. We usually round the evening off with Compline - a prayer from the Anglican Liturgy which helps us to reflect on the day and pray for each other.
On every fourth week we do something more social or simply take the week off from meeting together.
We meet from 7:45pm - 10pm on different nights of the week to fit in with the group's availability and in a few different houses around Luton.

Liz and Roxy's Cell
We meet together in the evenings every other week to chat, pray, reflect and drink tea/whisky/cocktails.
We meet in smaller groups on the other weeks to pray together and the women meet monthly to share pudding and thanksgiving with friends.
We want to support each other in loving Jesus, loving our kids, loving each other and our friends and colleagues.
For more information and details of when and where to meet, please contact Liz & Roxy below.
As a cell there are two main things that we have as a focus. First off, we are committed to helping each other grow to know God better, live our lives fulfilling God's potential in us and be friends we can count on for help, prayer and hospitality. We meet Wednesdays from 7.45 to 10pm-ish and start with a meal together. We share, pray, discuss what we are learning ourselves or through Sunday gatherings or anything else that we feel would be useful. It's organised but flexible and relaxed!
Secondly, we want to be community for people, friends or colleagues outside the church who would appreciate being part of a wider friendship network - people who have just moved to Luton from other parts of the UK or abroad and want to start to connect with people or anyone who just wants to make more friends locally. We see ourselves a bit like the mustard tree - an expression of the kingdom of God where people can 'perch' and find rest and shelter through contact with us as God's people or where people can make their 'nest' and really start their own journey of faith and knowing God. We have started to organise regular social events and are building up a network of local and international friends.
Our cell meets every Thursday and we spend time catching up, eating dinner together, and sharing some thoughts about faith and life, taking time to pray or meditate. We have a 4 week plan which we use each month:
Week 1 - Social. This could be anything from Bowling to dinner out, to just crashing at someone’s watching a movie. This is just time to spend with each other and getting to know each other better.
Week 2 - Reflection. Someone from the group shares a reflection or thought for the group to think about and discuss. This could be anything; something from the bible, something found in a book or video, or just something you’ve been thinking about in regards to faith, spirituality and life.
Week 3 - Serving. We want to make sure that as a group we are serving and loving our local community. Together as a group we decide different ways we can help out those local to us, and get stuck in serving!
Week 4 - Reflection. Someone from the group shares a reflection or thought for the group to think about and discuss. This could be anything; something from the bible, something found in a book or video, or just something you’ve been thinking about in regards to faith, spirituality and life.
Wild Card Week (on the months where there is a 5th Thursday) we throw caution to the wind and think of another fun thing to do.
We would love to have you along!
