Service of Shadows

Service of the Shadows (or 'Tenebrae')

The Tenebrae service, meaning ‘shadows’, was a part of the traditional Catholic Holy Week. This version, which makes no claim to be authentic to that tradition, was written by Jeremy Williams in 2006. You can find a copy of the reading here: https://docs.google.com/a/loveluton.org/document/d/1eoxPerrJrfHxG0J_Bwdu85pkMCnApAAc3hSrlCOuJMg/edit?usp=sharing

There will now be two versions but neither of them will be edited for children - it's a bit intense and to make it child friendly is a big task. However, there will be two readings at 5.30pm and 8.30pm.

If you have children and want resources for the Easter weekend, you can access four videos in this dropbox folder of The Last Supper, Garden of Gethsemane, Crucifixion and Resurrection: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cpexmh3itzdl29d/AAD30gJg_ZsLyXjG7Bl_235Za?dl=0

Exploring Your Connection

Exploring Your Connection is a four-week introduction to our church community. If you are interested in finding out a little more, exploring the idea of membership or just have questions then you are welcome!

Sessions take place once a week over four weeks at different people's houses and are quite informal. They start around a meal together and then focus on four different 'themes' over the weeks:

1) Tuesday 20th October - John and Roxy Whittaker - Our Vision and Values

2) Tuesday 27th October - Hazel and Andrew Adams - Relationships and Community

3) Tuesday 3rd November - Mark and Liz Plane - Spiritual Life

4) Tuesday 10th November - Jeff and Alina Pullinger - Following Jesus

If you are interested in finding out please email sam@loveluton.org.
